"Make a holiday rental home or villa in Cape Town your home away from home Cape Town, a sophisticated elegant city of great character, is the gateway to South Africa. Renting self catering Cape Town accommodation will undoubtedly be the first of many visits to Cape Town and the Western Cape, as the city has a charm and magnetism that will keep you returning year after year. Old and new, natural and man made all mingle harmoniously creating a fascinatingly unique city where the welcome is warm, the culture vibrant and the landscape dramatic. Things to do in Cape Town, South Africa Under the dominant view of Table Mountain, Cape Town has much to offer. The many clean, sandy beaches are some of the most beautiful urban beaches in the world, and there is a magnificent choice for sunbathers, water sports enthusiasts and naturists. The best beaches for sunbathing, swimming, frisbee and football are the Camps Bay beaches, just minutes from the city centre. There are a large number of surfing, scuba diving, windsurfing (boardsailing), and fishing beaches, or for those who wish for slightly warmer waters or naturist beaches, False Bay, Kalk Bay or Simonstown are perfect. The World Heritage site of Table Mountain is a National Icon. Rock climbers and mountaineers have a haven for climbing, and if that is too much effort for you, there is a cable car to the summit, with rocky trails around the summit to enjoy the spectacular 360° views of South Africa. The Angling from Rooikrans, Strandfontein and Cape Hangklip is fantastic, and there is some challenging fishing to be enjoyed. The city itself is a maze of points of interest, museums, galleries and beautiful architecture. However, for myself, the modern, bustling areas of Cape Town are the most interesting, with people adorning cafes, restaurants and the lively street markets. There are so many reasons to take Cape Town holiday accommodation, it is impossible to describe more than a pinch, and once you have come here once and scratched the surface, you will be returning to the self catering villa in Cape Town time and time again. Places to holiday in Cape Town, South Africa Robben Island is one of the most significant historic places in South Africa. As a colony for dangerous political prisoners from 1960, it was 'home' to Nelson Mandela for over twenty years. Today, a limited number of visitors are allowed to visit daily, with tours of the island, and walking and cycle routes into the nature areas of the island. For nature lovers, the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens holds over 500 species of indigenous plants. The Good Hope Nature Reserve is a magnificent local park where baboon, zebra, steenbok and 150 species of birds can be seen. Boat trips can be taken to see the seals of Hout Bay or to Table Bay, or children can enjoy the rides of Ratanga Junction, the 'wildest place in Africa'! It is a large theme park rivalling the Disney parks. The Tygerburg Zoo is the largest in Africa, and is in within easy reach of all self catering accommodation in Cape Town. Weather in Cape Town, South Africa Cape Town has a magnificent moderate climate, so is never stiflingly hot or bitterly cold. Summer temperatures can rise into the high 30s (°C), but rarely reach 40°C. Winters are mild, with snow only falling in the mountains, between April and August (winter). Flights to Cape Town, South Africa Cape Town International Airport makes it very easy to reach your Cape Town villa rental from the UK. Flights usually take in the region of 7 hours, and fly from all major British Airports. For cheap flights, try British Airways. "

Blouberstrand Cape Town south africa

5 of 5
Fantastic location of luxury apartment, on the outskirts of Cape Town, great if you want a quieter area, than the centre of Cape Town, easy to drive to,and from. Recommend apartment to any other family, and managed to use swimming pool, outside in the winter! Will use again..

Ideal location with only a short walk to V&A Waterfront. Safe gated community with reception for help and advice. Owner communication good and helpful. Had trouble finding reception but all went smoothly once located. Air conditioning was most welcomed and the balcony is a sun trap and lovely to sit on. Loads of restaurants near by in V&A. Local shop for provisions is in centre of V&A at 'Pick and Pay'. Stay here, you will love it as we did :-)
