Good location....apartment has everything...almost!!

We stayed for a week in late September. We were golfing in the Eastern Algarve & in Spain and this was in an ideal location. Vilareal de Santo Antonio is a laid back relaxing town (the bit near the river that is!). It's a 10 minute drive to Ayamonte on the Spanish side of the river and this is a completely different town. Very busy, bustling, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The apartment is in the middle of many blocks of similar apartments. It has a communal swimming pool. The rooms are furnished to a good standard and they are clean. It has everything you'd need for a self catering holiday. I would suggest however that for a group of non domesticated male golfers, some basic instructions on the use of kitchen & cleaning equipment might not go amiss!! We had a couple of access problems. We were met by a lady who couldn't get us in past the first hurdle because the access code had been changed. We eventually found an obliging resident. We never got access to the garage. We needed that to avoid having to unload and load our golf clubs every day. Despite several expensive phone calls we never got access to the garage. Basically the apartment was good, the service was not.

Great place to stay with your family

We had a wonderful time in Vila Nova de Cacela. The villa was enormous even for 11 of us and split into 3 levels allowing the noisy kids to sleep downstairs. The pool was a very good size and the BBQ was indeed very handy. Shops including Spar and fruit and vegetables market, were 5 mins from the villa. Beach was gorgeous and around 15mins walk away. We would highly recommend this place and reasonable pricing 👍😀
