Peaceful Riverside Property

5 of 5
We had a lovely week at Quinta da Ribeira this September. Paul and Dora were welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. The welcome pack was appreciated as were the castanhas and wine. It was surprisingly easy to find, though the narrow lane to the property is interesting and would have been more difficult at night. The two bed roomed unit we occupied was tastefully furnished, it was very clean, the beds and sofa very comfortable. Nice crisp cotton sheets! The location of the property feels quite remote but in reality is not, Ponte de Lima is only 15 to 20 minutes away and Ponte da Barca about same. Being so near the river is great, nice to see the occasional fish jumping for bugs and to listen to the birds. A couple of things we would have appreciated that were not provided in our unit were an outside dining table and maybe a few more glasses. However the lack of these things did not spoil our week and I would not hesitate to recommend this property.
