            Paradise in Portugal !

            4 of 5
Having arrived late at night,to the sound of breaking waves, we awoke on Thursday morning with great anticipation of our 2 weeks in Portugal. We were not disappointed as the view which greeted us from the front door was superb. Looking out over the sea and quiet beach we were almost speechless at the spectacle. As we were west facing the sunsets were awesome. The property and surroundings were clean and secure with our car in an underground car park with access straight into the property. With tennis, squash, racketball, pool, table tennis and the swimming pool all close safe and clean we were soon into a healthy regime. The children inform me that there are 240 steps down to the beach which at that point was very empty. 800 metres along the beach were a couple of bars and changing huts, but there was still a massive expanse of virtually empty sand. On our first foray into the hamlet on the beach we found a superb restaurant on the main street which was heaving every night with people coming from upto 40 kilometres away. Fantastic fish dishes. The nearest town of Nazare was an interesting place to visit and on our way found a good supermarket. For eating in, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. It is not a place to go if you want a busy holiday of bars and noise, it is peaceful and not spoilt by too much commercialism. We have already recommended the property to our friends and we would most certainly return. A wonderful time.
