Location is in characteristic neighborhood with a range of restaurants and small shops nearby. A considerable walk to major sights and a fair walk to closest tram...further to closest (Rato) subway. Terrace was nice, even in mixed weather we had coffee or wine outside. Baths & kitchen were well equipped. The apartment we reserved and paid for was not the apartment we were given (with no choice or cancel). Specifically selected "Terrace III" for the living room shown. The photo showed several comfortable chairs, a couch etc. we always want space to relax, read, hang out. Just before departure were notified it was not available but that "Terrace II" was similar. It was not - a shabby sofa bed and an odd plastic form that a child might sit on. Much smaller than shown in photo we chose from

The properties are as you see in the pictures clean, tidy,stylish,well maintained and everything you need apart from toiletries and groceries which of course you don't expect.We were met by Mrs Mendes(still smiling even though we were 30 mins + later than we said due to a taxi mix up at airport) who was more than helpful even walking us down the road to show us where to get the bus,brilliant.There are plenty of shops nearby and prices are very reasonable.There is also plenty of places to eat and drink our favourite being Cantinha do Alfredo just down the hill great traditional place with good food.There are plenty of buses we found the 758 to Cais Sodre to be the best for us or you can walk down to San Sebastian metro station about 10 to 15 minute walk.Campolide train station is also only at the bottom of the street across the big dual carriageway using the subway here you can get trains to Rossio, out to Sintra or across the 25 de Abril bridge then get a ferry back to Cais Sodre. The apartments are under the flight path to the airport but then anywhere on this side of the city is,and it didn't bother us. Also I forgot on the corner next to the Drogoria store is a little bar which is the Campolide community bar it was great late on at weekend sat drinking with the locals.It was our first time in Lisbon but certainly not our last a lovely city with lovely people and fantastic food, we would definitely stay here (Vila Marques)again.
