WOW! Everything you could ask for ... and MORE!

If you are looking at a rental property near Obidos, either for a short term or a longer stay, there’s no point in checking anything else out. You’ve found the best there is, in all respects. Sam & Rich were the most welcoming hosts of any we have ever encountered in our travels. From the first e-mails when we booked, they offered help if wanted/needed and gave us wonderful suggestions of places to visit, not just in Obidos but throughout the country. All this information has been invaluable and has enriched our visit to Portugal. The Atlantic was spacious, beautiful, well laid out, everything one could need/want all in a picturesque location. The apartment had the best stocked kitchen we’ve seen plus a truly amazing coffee machine. The hosts also provided a hand drawn map of local destinations - including roads, restaurants, tourist destinations, grocery stores, gas stations, local trails in the valley & more. Really helped us navigate the area. In our experience, other rental properties don’t compare with QBV in many ways - atmosphere, location, views, comfort, amenities, support.  It made for a memorable stay. Elizabeth & David

Spacious, quiet and very comfortable

We are a group of 3 couples who go for an Autumn break every year, we're past the beach bum stage and are looking for interesting things to see and visit with the bonus of a little bit of sun. This year we hit gold! A spacious well equipped home with a high quality feel on the edge of the village, a big plus because it's within walking distance of a bar and restaurants. The rooms are enormous with very comfortable beds and plenty of cupboard space for belongings. The lounge is a relaxing space with sofas and a large TV, there are also games, books and DVD's if you are looking for extra entertainment (plus some sort of game system in the garage). There is a small terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside. A really nice place to share an aperitif in the evening. The heated pool was a pleasure - not bath temperature but easy to slip into before breakfast and after a day of sightseeing. We had a great week. Communication with the owners was easy and straight forward, we borrowed their sat. nav which meant there was no problem in finding the villa or the local attractions. The house was clean and ready for our arrival, lots of little bits and pieces in the kitchen cupboards as well as the necessary basics of milk, bread, wine & coffee (marvellous coffee machine!) The garage has lots of extra kit in it, ping pong table, exercise bike, beach umbrellas and lots of equipment for young families - we didn't use any of it but can imagine it would be very handy if you had children. A week really wasn't long enough in this lovely home or to fully explore the surroundings - we were out and about every day and would have loved to spend more time 'at home' but just didn't have the time! We would happily recommend this property to our friends and relatives.
