The summers in Alma Verde are hot and dry but the temperature is moderated somewhat by the cooling north westerly Atlantic breezes. July and August are the warmest months with an average high of 28 degrees centigrade and just an average of 1mm of rain per month. The winters are mild and wet with most of the annual rainfall occurring between November and February.
The nearest airport to Alma Verde is Faro, which is approximately one hour away. It offers flights to and from domestic and major European destinations such as Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Munich, Paris and Zurich.
