A holiday anywhere along the Algarve strip of southern Portugal is bound to be an unforgettable experience. What can one expect, to convince them to book a holiday home in Algarve Clube Atlantico or any other part of Carvoeiro? For starters, golden sands against which the blue waters of the Atlantic lap, bordered by awe-inspiring cliffs. They’ll also find many restaurants offering fine Portuguese cuisine as well as great places to shop. The places of accommodation HomeAway has ready for holidaymakers comprise of magnificent villas that can shelter different sizes of groups while putting swimming pools and other luxuries at their disposal.

Things to do

-Beaches: Carvoeiro’s beach is admittedly not the most expansive. It is a reasonably-sized patch of fine sand sandwiched by impressive cliffs. Visitors may not have the luxury of hours of promenades with sand between their toes but they can set down a towel or lounger and soak up as much sunshine as they can take. They’re also free to walk up the cliffs and savour the sublime panoramas.

-Water sports: The well sheltered beach provides safe waters for those who wish to splash about with their kids. Thrill-seekers can hire jet skis and power their way about the waves off the coastline. To discover the secrets the waters of the Atlantic hold one can get diving gear from nearby diving schools and plunge into the ocean. Those unfamiliar with the intricacies of scuba diving can get introductory lessons as well.

-Historical sites: History buffs wondering if it’s worth booking holiday rentals in Algarve Clube Atlantico or any other locality in Carvoeiro will find something to pique their interest in the Fort of Senhora da Conceição. They’ll see what remains of walls constructed over 300 years ago when they climb up the cliff above Carvoeiro.

-Golf: Though most people thinking of a golfing holiday in Algarve will probably head to Vilamoura, those who choose to reside in Algarve Clube Atlantico holiday villas will have the Vale de Milho Golf Club within easy reach. Both beginners and pros will enjoy knocking balls around this beautifully landscaped facility. When they’re done they can retreat to the cosy clubhouse and get a refreshing drink or seat down to a meal.

-Food and drink: Speaking of gastronomy, there are a number of joints in Carveiro where those staying in Algarve Clube Atlantico holiday rentals can dine on varied cuisine. In the much-vaunted Villa Medici, tourists can gouge themselves on pizza and pasta to their heart’s delight. To sample Mediterranean specialities they can head over to the Pimenta Preta.

Weather in Algarve Clube Atlantico

Carvoeiro has fantastic temperate climate that doesn’t fluctuate much throughout the year. Temperatures are mostly in the twenties for most months and only dip into the teens during the brief spell of mildly cool weather between November and February. Most Carveiro-bound tourists will schedule their holiday for somewhere between June and September when temperatures average above 25°C and rainfall is scarce.

Luxury villa with wonderful sea view

5 of 5
Casa Da Vela was truly a luxury villa. The peaceful location and wonderful views down the valley to the sea made it a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The design ensured that the villa kept cool inside even when the temperature was in the 30’s outside. We enjoyed the various cliff top walks, which were close by. We were also pleasantly surprised by how good the local restaurant ‘La Bella Vita’ was, just 2 minutes walk from the Villa. They made us very welcome and the food was excellent. A number of good restaurants were located 15 minutes walk away at Rocha Brava. The villa is ideal for two couples. We hope to return. Lee & Heather, Waterlooville, UK

Beautiful, Relaxing Villa to stay in!

5 of 5
We stayed at Casa Octavious for 3 weeks in August. There were 5 of us for two weeks and a family of three joined us for the remainder! What a fabulous Villa it is. On entering you feel how spacious it is, all rooms lead off from the main reception room. The terrace is just wonderful. We were lucky enough to sit on the terrace in glorious sunshine with glass of wine in hand whilst watching the Olympics! It was great having Sky TV and WiFi having children ranging from 10 to 17 with us. There are plenty of towels, and the kitchen is stocked up with plenty of utentils and pots, pans, plates etc.. The cleaning staff are very efficient and the pool guys are very polite. There was one incident when the dishwasher decided to break but after one phone call all was put right. Smugglers Cove is a two minute walk away behind the Villa and that a beautiful Cove to visit, great to sit and watch those brave enough to jump off the ledges there. Also a little boat pops into the cove every couple of hours so you can hop on and for a small amount you can have a tour around the coast line and see all the other coves!! The supermarket is a 10 minute walk away and we felt happy sending the children up for a few things, not badly priced but very convienient. The complex where the the Villa is situated is stunning, the gardens and lawned areas are looked after daily and its a lovely walk around the complex looking at all the beautiful Villas. We had a very relaxing time and would definatly look to go back in the future.
