A relaxing week

5 of 5
This was the first time we had rented a villa and it certainly won't be the last. Contacted Elena (manager) when we left the airport and again when we were 5mins away and she very kindly came and met us at estate entrance. The villa is stunning, large, bright and airy. Jackie (owner) has thought of everything you may require including inflatables for the pool!!!!!!! I have nothing negative to say....pool was super, gardens huge and immaculate and the villa was definitely luxurious. We loved it so much once we located supermarket we didn't stray very far and ate in every night bar one. A trip to Lagos is well worth it a beautiful quaint old town with lovely side streets to meander through and lots of lovely restaurants. This villa more than deserves its 5 stars

A Little Bit of Paradise

5 of 5
Margaret the owner describes this as "a little bit of paradise" and it's hard to disagree. The villa really is as large and secluded as the photos suggest. It serves as the owners home for much of the year and is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The paintings on the wall are all Margaret's own (this is a good thing as she is a former art teacher!) and everything has the feel of quality. When the villa is rented the owners live in an apartment underneath the main house, so they were around and about if you needed them but were certainly never intrusive and the house, pool and garden were very much ours. The setting is perfect for an away from it all break. The road past the house is very quiet with only occasional traffic and you will probably hear more birds than cars. I never quite figured out where the land of this property ended and the next began, but we would walk for an hour without meeting a fence or another soul. There's a very nice restaurant 5 minutes away and a 15 minute drive gets you to Alvor, Portimao or Monchique.
