  • Wonderful Vacation House

We stayed at Fare Vaitetorea for five nights on Mo'orea in September 2018. It is a wonderful house, equipped with all the amenities we could have wished for. The house was large for just two of us, but we loved the location (proximity to the water) and privacy. The three bedrooms and large kitchen/dining area could easily accommodate 6 people as long as they can share one bathroom The house has a clean modern interior with a traditional colonial exterior. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and comfortable. We loved using the kayaks and SUPs in the morning, when the water was glassy and smooth. By afternoon, the wind always picked up, making it nearly impossible to use the paddle toys. The house is also equipped with bicycles and a washing machine, which was very handy. The house is in close driving proximity to many restaurants, resorts, and other activities, but a rental car is a must to get to these areas. In the last minute, we rented a car for all five days and were very happy we did to get around the island. For those not familiar with Mo'orea, beware there are roosters all over the island who like to crow all night long. You can hear it clearly from inside the house, even with the air-conditioning running. Additionally, large cruise ships will come to Mo'orea and moor in the lagoons. We had one large ship in front of the house for a couple of days and we could hear their regularly broadcasted announcements. This is not particular to this house rental, but something to be aware of when planning a trip to Mo'orea. We loved our stay in Mo'orea and I highly recommend renting this property. The freedom of staying in a house full of amenities, rather than a hotel room in a resort, was wonderful and this property did not disappoint!

  • Island to Island

We have just spent a most relaxing and special holiday on Moorea as guests at the pension of Marie-Lou. From the first day we were welcomed as friends to her family of husband Gilles and friendly dogs Rex and Queenie. At the house we enjoyed comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. We even found treats in the fridge on our arrival! The position of the house allows ample space from the garden or deck to admire the mesmerising lagoon and the small pier is an excellent bonus for kayaking. Having grown up nearby, Marie-Lou was a wonderful source of helpful information from historical events to present day tourist possibilities. She was very generous with her time, taking us shopping and showing us local highlights. We so enjoyed the time spent with Marie and Gilles who are relaxed and entertaining hosts. Thank you for sharing your corner of paradise with us. We look forward to returning to your stunningly beautiful island. Caro & John
