My only regret about my time at Island View is that I didn't stay longer. Kelvin and Glenda bend over backwards to make sure their guests' holidays are trouble-free and completely relaxing. From the minute their driver Danny picked me up from the pier (free of charge) to when my hosts dropped me back there (again free) the entire holiday went without a hitch. The villas are adorable, with polished wooden floors, large HD TV, small kitchen (with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and basic cooking utensils), strong air conditioning and a compact bathroom. The villa's little balcony looks out through coconut trees and palms to the sea and catches afternoon breezes, but there are other bigger communal bar and garden areas that guests are free to use. The communal pool is just a few steps away and surrounded by colourful bouganvillea. The villas are a short walk from Libaong Beach (which is itself a short drive from the more touristy Alona Beach). I loved the fact that there mainly just locals enjoying Libaong and just a handful of resort restaurants. I had dinner at Dumaluan Resort each night and the food was superb (seafood bbq) and very reasonably priced. The restaurant is beachfront and they have really good singers performing in the evenings between 7.30pm and 10.30pm. For those who prefer to cook, Kelvin and Glenda will arrange shopping expeditions to the supermarket at Tagbiliran and are very helpful with advice. They also helped me book a firefly cruise and a day tour of Bohol Island, both of which were very competitively priced. My main reason for visiting Panglao was to dive and their lovely driver Danny dropped me off at the dive shop in Alona Beach each morning (a 10 minute trip) and I would get a tricycle back when I was done (the tricycles are a motorbike with a canopied side cart, cost is just 150 pesos). The day before I arrived Glenda texted me to ask if I would like to join the family on a snorkelling trip to Pamilican Island. How kind is that? By the end of the trip I actually felt like part of the family. One week was simply not enough. I cannot wait to get back.

IslandView Resort is the place to be when you go to Bohol. The moment you enter the gate you already feel that you are HOME. The hosts Kelvin and Glenda saw to it that we were comfortable and relaxed. Buco juice taken from the dwarfed coconut tree beside the villa was a perfect welcome. They provided transportation service from and to the airport. Should you decide to eat your meals or take a dip somewhere outside, they are always available to take you there and pick you up at a later time. Our flight back to Manila was cancelled due to haze and just one text to Glenda and her driver came to take us back to the resort. Everything we needed was provided in no time at all. Breakfast was very good and other meals were prepared as we wished at a very reasonable price. We had a comfortable stay in a villa near the pool surrounded by trees, plants and flowers. I will recommend this place to my friends and if I get the chance to go back to Bohol I will stay again in IslandView. Many thanks to Kelvin and Glenda and also to Danny who made our stay more enjoyable! More power and 'til we meet again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was great and staff was very helpful in booking transport to the ferry terminal and to Alona beach. We also had them book a Chocolate hills tour for us and that was great. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax this is the place, but if you are wanting to be near the nightlife I'd choose to stay closer to Alona. One other thing that I would say is the pool is great but very deep. If someone is shorter than 160 cm and can't swim it is not ideal.
