Make a Holiday Rental House in Tiznit, Morocco Your Home Away From Home

Nestled peacefully in the Tiznit Province, in the region of Souss-Massa-Draa in Morocco, is the quaint town of Tiznit. Although it is not as old as some of the towns and villages to be found across the country of Morocco, a Tiznit holiday is guaranteed to give travellers a true taste of what everyday Moroccan life is like. Visitors can expect to be able to watch the world go by and enjoy the silence whilst resting comfortably in a luxurious Tiznit holiday rental house. It is almost guaranteed that a Tiznit holiday will leave you with some lasting memories as well as the feeling of truly having been to the “real” Morocco.

Things to Do on Holiday in Tiznit, Morocco

Due to the fact that Tiznit is a small and somewhat traditional town, visitors will find that there is very little in the way of activities and attractions to be indulged in here. The emphasis is truly on mixing with the locals and experiencing the traditional culture of Morocco. The easiest way to do this is to visit the Suuq which is held every Thursday in the town and is one of the biggest in the area. Tiznit also has a traditional mosque, built in a typical Saharan style, complete with wooden perches protruding from all angles on the outer walls.

Places to Visit on Holiday in Tiznit, Morocco

If you do feel the need to spread your wings and leave your Tiznit holiday rental house for a while, then you could take the long (but worthwhile) journey to the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, which lies on the outskirts of the town of Ouarzazate. Ait Benhaddou has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has some of the finest examples of Kasbahs to be found in the whole of Morocco. Many travellers flock to the village each year and it has been used in many recognisable films that date back as far as the 1960s.

Weather in Tiznit, Morocco

Booking a Tiznit holiday rental house means that you will be able to enjoy some fabulous weather, with an Arid climate meaning that the town is mainly dry and warm throughout the year. Most travellers stay in Tiznit from August through to September when it can reach as warm as 32°C during the daylight hours. The lowest temperatures usually occur in January and February when it can drop to around 14°C, which may be more comfortable for those who don’t like too much heat. There is very little rainfall during the year and the village sees approximately 3 inches of rain during 12 months.

What can I say about this villa. It's perfect to relax, take in sunshine and of course the sea waves. The villa is very clean and bright. It's very quiet which is what we needed to concentrate on our work while enjoying the sunny weather with sea views. It was little cold but better than weather at home in Feburary. Fathima was excellent house keeper and her traditional food was unbelievable. Cathrine was very approachable, friendly, and open to our suggestions regarding our long stay at her villa. We found the villa to be very safe as the security guard is around 24 hours which was very helpfully for our grandchildren. They were able to walk down to the beach with no fear of being met with strangers. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone who wants to getaway from busy city life to this paradise. I would have no hasitaion in recommending this villa to my family and friends. Once again thank you very much Catharine for all your help in making this holiday perfact. Mrs. Hussain

Stayed at this great villa overlooking the beach for a week at the end of summer. After a week in Marrakesh and another hiking in the mountains, we were looking for a week away from the noise and sounds of the city, and we got just that. Fantastic. The location is pretty remote, so if you are coming here looking for night-life, bars and restaurants you're in the wrong place. The Villa is 1 of about 12 on a secure gated estate set back from the road. The villa has been well maintained and is mainly in good condition and well appointed in terms of furniture, bedding etc, but some elements are showing signs of wear, but nothing that would detract from your stay. Booking & payment was very easy through the owners agent who lives onsite in one of the villas. Location was easy to find. Each villa has a panoramic beach outlook, this one being front row above the beach (not direct access from the villa though) When you get there though don't be surprised if you have a few miles of soft golden sand and the rolling surf to yourself! Although there is a pool at the villa which is great for messing around in, our kids loved the beach. Bring a body board and play in the surf, they will have hours of fun. Be aware though that this is the Atlantic and it rolls in here - all the time! Makes for great surfing up and down this coast, and the sound is fabulous to drift off to sleep listening to, but with its 1-2ft of surf, its a beach where the kids will need to be supervised all the time. The three bedrooms are all huge, downstairs 2 bedrooms each with a bathrooms, upstairs 1 bedroom with two double beds, magnificent sea views, large bathroom and a private balcony all the way round. Spacious lounge area with TV, DVD (and DVDs) and seating, well equipped kitchen and dining area (although we only used the covered outside dining area). With regards to supplies, you need to come prepared. Aglou Village is 5-10 min drive away a with a small grocery for emergencies, Tiznit is 20 min drive with a good local supermarket and Mirleft is 30 minutes to the south with food etc. Agadir is your last chance for big supermarket shopping. Overall we had a great week here. Had an excellent meal at the Club Evasion beach club restaurant (also went horse riding on the beach from here) and had a great time learning to surf at Mirleft with the guys from Aftastrip. It was nice to see another more relaxed side of Morocco, and will come back to explore further another time.
