Tthe best place we have found in Morocco, at last!

                          5 of 5
Having spent years going to Morocco and exploring, we have finally found the perfect place nestled between the Marrakesh and the mountains, and finally our search is over, we will not be staying anywhere else, it's perfect. We both agreed that it would have been as perfect for us in our twenties as it will be in our 40's. Al-Limuna is the oasis we have been looking for, far from the madding crowd but close enough to nip in to the bustle of the souks, the bars and the entertainment. The house is surrounded by calm and the blanket of snow rests on the mountains providing a dramatic backdrop on which to gaze from the roof top, the bedroom balconies, the pool, the breakfast table, the garden, the verandah, the terrace, anywhere all day but especially when the colours change, either at sunset with a negroni or sunrise with fresh juices. The staff are immaculate. One is barely conscious of them until just before you realise you need something. Latifa surprised us daily with exceptionally good fresh food, so that we felt thoroughly restored by the time we had to go. Sa'ed was a huge help for everything we needed and Zoubeida served us beautifullly, and always had a smile or a laugh for us. There are several different eating areas, three of which are out doors, and enough space for everyone to have privacy. The interior has been very well laid out, the rooms are all stylish, spacious, airy with good hot water and walk-in showers. We enjoyed log fires in the evening when it was cooler, even after swimming in the pool in the sun that same morning, in January! The pool has some protection for small children, and camels were laid on for us to go for a ride. Getting around is easy and there is plenty to explore up in the Atlas Mountains as well as the city. We and gone to switch off and read, but found there was so much to enjoy and explore, that we can't wait to go back again, to sit still and read.

                          Paradise in Real Morocco

                          5 of 5
This was our second holiday at Tiguimi. It is a real piece of paradise. We loved it so much the first time, we went back (we rarely go back to the same place twice, however good it is!). It was even better the second time around. Rachida, and her team; Hafida and Omar are so warm and welcoming. We walked in the mountains during the morning - after Hafida's lovely homemade flakey flatbreads and tea made from herbs from the garden (perfect!). Afternoons spent by the pool, looking at the stunning mountains - we will never tire of that view! Dinners cooked by Hafida were always excellent - we love good food and our expectations were surpassed. We had great fun buying the ingredients and none of the hassle of cooking. The houses are immaculate and well cared for with real Berber rugs and decor. So comfortable and relaxing. Listening to the sounds of real Morocco. Rachida is a fellow animal-lover and I completely fell in love with the docile-donkey! We felt very safe in the mountains, villages, and local town. People were so friendly. We miss it already and looking to plan our third trip. Thank you Rachida, Hafida & Omar!

                          Oasis on the Ourika Road

                          5 of 5
We had a fantastic stay at Dar Zitouna for four days in late May 2015. After our stay at one of the smaller houses in the complex last year, we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. Dar Zitouna is clearly the best house in the complex - large, beautifully designed and with the best views over the Atlas mountains. It was so nice to return to this lovely bit of Morocco. Zahira's cooking was once again excellent and satisfied a range of dietary requirements (from vegetarians to exacting 2 year olds). Mohammed was also extremely helpful with all of our needs and organised a half day trip to Imlil for us. The pool was, as expected, a key part of our stay and the clever design with shallow steps proved to be a real blessing for the little ones still learning how to swim. All in all a great stay and highly recommended.
