Make a Holiday Rental Apartment in Fes, Morocco Your Home Away From Home

Located inland in the north-eastern part of Morocco is the fourth largest city in the country, Fes. Things to Do on Holiday to Fes, Morocco

There are opportunities for both relaxation and activity on a Fes holiday. The city is located inland so there are no beaches; but visitors can indulge in the public swimming pools and hammams (like a Turkish Bath) followed by a relaxing massage. Other activities available include golf, tennis, horse riding, walking, fishing and mountain biking.

To indulge in a spot of tradition and history, visitors will find that Fes is home to several interesting museums. Another museum that should definitely be on your itinerary is the Arms Museum of the Borj Nord. This museum has a collection of antique armoury housed in a 16th century fortress. Even if you are not keen on arms, the building is worth a visit to see the stunning architecture and it gives some excellent views of the city. There is much more on offer for the visitor to see in Fes including the old medina, the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Andalosian Mosque and the Aben Danan Synagogue.

Places to Visit on Holiday to Fes, Morocco

Approximately 36 kilometres to the south of Fes is the wonderful town of Imouzzer du Kandar. Settled in the early 1900s, the architecture of the town is interesting in that it is more reminiscent of an Alpine village than a traditional Moroccan town. Imouzzer du Kandar is a quiet town except on a Monday, when everyone flocks to the souk. The souk is held in the unusual underground dwellings of the Ait Seghrouchen tribe, which is worth a look. To the east of the town is the Djebel Abad, which has a watchtower offering stunning views of the Sais Plains and the rooftops of Fes in the distance.

Weather in Fes, Morocco

Fes is blessed with a seasonal climate which means that it is very hot in summer and cool in winter. The average daytime temperature in the height of summer is 33°C. Luxurious Apartment in the heart of ifrane

      5 of 5
I am an athlete from Ireland staying in ifrane for 1 month. The apartment is in a Beautiful location in the centre or ifrane, it is just 100m walk from a handful of lovely cafes, restaurants and shops. The area is very safe with all the locals being very friendly. The apartment itself was great, it is new and luxurious in a very quiet apartment block. The kitchen was fully equipped and the beds all made with clean sheets. It was very clean also. It was well worth the price. The owner Bennis was very accommodation and helpful even with our arrival at short notice and late at night. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to visit ifrane.
