Just As Good As We Had Remembered It

5 of 5
This was our second stay at the apartment, and we were absolutely delighted to find it was as lovely as we had remembered it from the previous year. The views from the apartment were as scintillating as ever, and the locals were unfailingly friendly and welcoming. Kotor and Perast are both absolutely lovely, but the highlight of our visit was a Saturday iunch with Annie and Guy at Tivat, and the opportunity to stroll among the yachts moored at Porto Montenegro. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

A beautiful apartment with glorious surroundings.

On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly neighbour who gave us our key and showed us to the apartment. Everything we needed was there and all tastefully presented. All of the bedrooms had views across the bay so we didn't need to fight about that. It was good to have a strong shower with plenty of room. Stocking up with provisions at the local shop was easy and very reasonably priced! Also available was a varied menu that you could order from. We decided to have this on our last night but wished we'd made more use of it as it was so delicious. This is a fantastic opportunity to taste the local cuisine without spending the restaurant prices. There was so much that we could have it for lunch, too. Getting around was easy - the bus was one euro and taxis were cheap, too. Kotor is a beautiful old town with many twists and turns so there's always something new to find. We climbed the mountain to the fortress and experienced amazing views across the bay. The house book is comprehensive and contains all the information that you need. We used this to book a private boat tour around the bay. The guide spoke English and took us to a beautiful untouched town called Perast and we got to explore an island with a lovely old chapel. We would love to go back and visit the new Porto Montenegro. This apartment is the perfect getaway. If you want to be active, there is a lot to explore. Alternatively, you can lounge on the balcony and soak in the beautiful views over bay, surrounded by mountains.

The property was well appointed and beautifully renovated.

We had a great time at the old Fisherman's House. It was a tremendous situation with fantastic views. With a short walk from the house there were restaurants and bars and mini supermarkets. It was situated opposite Kotor and much quieter than the town. The house was clean and very well maintained and we had excellent customer service from Anka when we had a couple of little problems.
