Hi Caroline It's been 6 nights of pure relaxation , my son who is from London thought it was the perfect place to relax . After a stressful year in London . Both of us like the ocean view which is just a few metres away . The villa itself is very private and that's for me is a plus . We had everything we needed , very organised . The rooms were very cosy . It felt like home away from home .i would definitely come back again . The maid did a good job always discreet . Thank you for sharing your villa with us . Kind Regards Daniel Bastide .

this property benefits from continuous maintainance . There was a quick response for any maintaince issues.very polite ,Very pleasant house manager and always helpful with the quickest response to any problems big or small. On Sunday's it was very lively on the beach , there was fresh fish sold on the beach and many party picnics . Neighbours were always friendly and there was a sense of security in the area. We had access to bikes provided with the house that were useful to explore the area. Though ,we found a car essential if staying for an extended period if you want to explore the island . The pool table and jacuzzi as well as TV were in good working order and we enjoyed using these. We found some great local restaurants in Mahebourg ,200 rupees per meal per person , lovely local fresh food. Blue bay ,a beautiful bathing spot also a short distance away and the airport is a 10 min drive away. The house is located in a quiet and peaceful place , with a view of the ocean and the sound of heavy waves of the sea if you sit outside and listen. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay there again when we visit . This villa is highly recommended

                            Dream Holiday

                            5 of 5
We enjoyed 10 magical days at Villa Vakoa. Everything is perfectly designed and appointed for instant relaxation; from the warm welcome and perfectly-judged hospitality of Diane and Christophe, to the comfort of the villa itself, the lushness of its garden and delights of the private pool. The location is wonderful – just steps away from a picture-postcard beach of white sands, turquoise waters and stunning views. All our needs were anticipated and provided for, from a welcome meal and daily cleaning, to snorkelling gear, beach towels and local recommendations. Diane and Christophe made everything so easy, pleasant and friendly. We’d definitely recommend doing activities which can be easily arranged while you’re there: one of our highlights was a fantastic catamaran cruise to the Ile aux Cerfs. Hiring a car would be useful, although we managed perfectly well without; it’s easy to get buses and taxis from outside the villa to go to the nearby supermarket and other local towns and beaches (Blue Bay Marine Reserve is only 5 minutes away – excellent snorkelling!) I have stayed at many holiday rental properties and this has been by far the best experience I’ve had. I recommend Villa Vakoa without hesitation and hope to stay again if I’m lucky enough to visit Mauritius again – I feel sure we’d be welcomed like old friends!
