This house is way more idyllic than the photos..

5 of 5
We picked this because of the lovely photos of the house with plenty of space for our family of 4 children aged 17 -11, also how convenient Joe could make our visit, as soon as we confirmed, he arranged transfers, car rental and kindly left us some supplies in the fridge on our very late arrival. We woke up the next morning to the idyllic garden, which as I said is so much better than the photos. The location is very convenient but definitely advisable to have a car. The house has absolutely everything you need, bbq amazing pool, plenty of seating and lying furniture and shade or sun. Inside is very well equipped too and the wood-burning stove came in very handy on the cool April evenings. Joe made it very clear that if we needed anything he was at the end of the phone and then left us to enjoy our stay, which was very relaxed. Just to note and maybe I didnt read description carefully, but the bedrooms are around a courtyard, which was excellent for my teenagers who felt they had a self contained flat, but my 11 year old was nervous we weren't under the same roof and she had to walk across an outside terrace to get to us. For the older children they loved this independence and it really wasn't a problem but she is nervous at night, so would just need to be noted if you have young children. We will definitely aim to get back to this house for a holiday and would highly recommend it. Thank you Joe, such a lovely gentleman.

Magnificant Munxar

5 of 5
Santa Maria was all that it was advertised as. We have stayed at many places over the years and not had such detailed welcoming information let alone the warm embrace of the home, we felt an immediate sense of relaxation. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, good showers and a good workable kitchen already nicely stocked with spices let alone the welcome food package which was greatly appreciated as our flights were delayed so much so that we didn't arrive until well after midnight. Outside the private courtyard was well appointed, BBQ, lounge chairs, cats and we ate out quite a bit under the little shelter. As Canadians we even used the pool; very refreshing. This is the first time that we really couldn't fault anything but if you want something so that it isn't perfect we had trouble learning the location of the light switches but that just added to the charm. The local area, walks and people were also quite wonderful. Thank you Chris & Doreen
