good place to be,

4 of 5
Nice welcome by Stephanie with bread, buter, water, chicken breast and wine. Nice view over Melieha. Quit but close to center. Neighbour has a dog that makes noise like a bullfrog. Good parking for our rental car. Breathtaking view. Big apartement with 3 bed and 2 bathrooms and nice paintings. We were there in March. It gets cold in the evening. So Stepanie helped with a gas heater. Stove and oven is an older propane gas operated, which always little bit scares me. Fast and reliable internet is working fine. Lamps in the bedroom with the queen size bed didn't work. One was out of operation, the other one switched on by itself at night. Furniture is very basic. A big carpet would be nice in the living room area plus one or two more sofas or a really big one that sleeps at least two persons. The selection of the the TV programm is only of interest for Italians. No German programm to find, no really good English programms. So we couldn't use it. Don't drink the tap water, it comes out of desaltification plant and tastes awful with tea or coffee.

Fabulous!!!

The apartment was excellent. Everything you could want was provided. The view from the terrace was breathtaking. Alexandra was wonderful and had food in the frig when we arrived. The location is perfect. Just walking distance to supermarket, meat market, fruit/veg. market, and restaurants. This was also a perfect area in Malta as it was so quiet and peaceful. Very enjoyable and relaxing vacation. Can't wait until the next trip. Will definitely want to stay here again. Thanks Alexandra for providing such a wonderful and relaxing place for vacationing!!!!

What a super holiday

4 of 5
We had a wait to get into the apartment as it was being cleaned, so popped round & had a nice lunch sat outside a local bar on the corner and luxuriated in the 19 degree heat on 28th December. Apartment was clean. Unfortunately the oven was broken, but Josette supplied a halogen oven. Discovered the following day that the toaster was broken also, & Josette promtly purchased another for us the next day. The apartment is on the first floor with balconies both back & front. As the temperatures dropped to around 12 degrees they were not much in use apart from the one at the back which is ideal for hanging washing with ample racks, strings & pegs supplied. The washing machine worked fine, & the instructions were clear. Despite being 'off season' there was ample open shops in the area for groceries, although a lot of the boat trips were not running & most of the scuba places and the like were shut. The beds in the apartment were very comfortable, although we were all in agreement that the pillows were dreadfull, & we all came home with sore necks. There was ample bedding and despite deciding not to take the offered heater at 5 euros per night, we were warm enough, though the apartment did get a little cool in the evening. If you're going in winter take some slippers - tile floors are cold in winter! The shower was pretty useless. It needs to be switched on an hour before to heat the water, and there was not enough hot water to do all 4 of us, and the cubicle is so small that despite us all being pretty slim, you would keep hitting your body off the controls causing the heat to fluctuate. Water pressure was not bad though. There was oodles of towels, & dish towels and we were told to help ourselves to take chairs out the the front of the apartment to sit out at the beach if we wanted. Huge fridge, and a variety of bits in the pantry, but no washing up liquid which infuriated me! My biggest concern about this property was the door locking system. The main door at the bottom of the stair has a lock on it, and generally gets locked at night by one of the tennants I presume. It is not a snib type lock. Once locked it needs a key to open it from the inside. It cannot be opened from inside without a key which we thought a bit dangerous. Should there be a fire you would need to calmly remember to take your keys to unlock it! Nice apartment, perfect for the beach - good location/easy to park
