We had a wonderful stay in this apartment in the Otsuka area of Tokyo back in February. Three of us stayed in the apartment for 10 nights. It was a five minute walk to Otsuka station, which is a stop for the Yamanote Line, which runs in a circuit around Tokyo. (If you're ever lost, the Yamanote line either way will bring you home to Otsuka Station!) It was very convenient. We even walked to Ikebukuro's Sunshine City when we weren't too tired. (You could also just take the train one stop down!) The apartment was clean, and there was no noise from neighbors.
We really only were at the apartment in the early morning and in the evenings, as we spent the rest of our days out and about in Tokyo. It was February, so it was a bit cold in the main room, but the bedrooms both had heaters that kept us very warm. The rental office was easy to find (our plane was delayed so we met someone up at the bar across the street from the station to get our keys - they even gave us coupons for free drinks, which we sadly never ended up using) and they gave us plenty of documentation, including emergency numbers and even a translated page on how to work the washer/dryer and shower! (Don't be alarmed - the shower talks!)
There were several restaurants (including McDonalds) within walking distance. We ate at the little sushi place on the way to the station, and enjoyed it. The only thing that it wasn't super convenient to was the Ueno area, since that is basically on the other side of Tokyo. But even that wasn't really too far. And for Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, and Shibuya, this was very close.
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in the Otsuka/Ikebukuro area! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
