Our stay was for 2 weeks, and the property is well situated within the town with a local bar and restaurant close by. Other restaurants were also nearby as well as shops, library and arts and craft shops. A market once a week in the lower town which is accessed by a hill top lift. Bus service to Florence or Siena if you want a break from driving. Great views and full of history and interesting. Maura was a great host and told us lots about places to see and visit as well as really looking after us.

  • Outstanding character with all the amenities of a modern building

The accommodation was just what we needed. The master bedroom very spacious with magnificent views over the Tuscan countryside. The sunrise in the early morning was stunning. Although the outside temperature was in the mid thirties inside was always pleasantly cool. The second bedroom certainly large enough for our daughter but may have been a bit of a squeeze for two. The toilet and shower room ( no bath) was modern. The kitchen diner is well equipped, the only not positive comment would be about the lounge seating, only room for two on the settee. The owner was very attentive when required and absent when not. They live in the main building. The garden and pool area again outstanding. There are two other rental units that have access to the pool but that never effected us. The unit and grounds were immaculately kept, The location was outstanding, less than 5 mins by car to Volterra where there was everything that you would need. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone that wants peace and quiet, a comfortable immaculately clean home from home and all the culture Tuscany can offer.
