Make holiday rental accommodation or a self catering villa in Vicenza, Italy your home away from home

Vicenza Province lies in the Veneto region of northern Italy. It is a largely rural area, consisting of rural plains, alpine hills and quiet forests, ideal for relaxing walking holidays. Vicenza holidays are known for many things, especially the wealth of nature, art, history and the range of truly exclusive Vicenza villas from which you can enjoy the finest attractions and sights of the province in real luxury.

Things to do on holiday in Vicenza, Italy

Holidays in Vicenza Province are a delight for walking, hiking and riding. The province contains a huge variety of terrain from the low rolling hills of the Plateau of the Seven Communes to the peak of Mount Grappa in the Bassano region. Walking, cycling and riding holidays thrive from Vicenza accommodation in the Berici Hills especially, but wherever you decide to take a self catering Vicenza villa, there will be plenty of magnificent trails in the surrounding area.

Vicenza Province is awash with historical monuments dating back as far as pre-historic times. The pre-historic villages of Mount Corgnon and the Assa Valley near Lusiana are incredible sites, and you can visit the 8th Century hermitage of San Cassiano which is entirely carved from a solid rock face by foot, bicycle or by car. The Leiten War Memorial, Corbin Fort, the Astronomical Observatory, the WWI fortifications of Northern Vicenza and the Romanic Church of Saint Augustine are defiantly worth investigating from any Vicenza accommodation and there are guides to local walks from each available from the Vicenza tourist information offices in the Provincial capital, also called Vicenza.

Vicenza Province comes alive with festivals and events at various points throughout the calendar. The passion for fine food and excellent wines is almost tangible in the province, and local markets are awash with fresh fish (cod and trout mainly), meat, mushrooms and of course, cheese. Asiago Cheese is a real local delicacy, and if you have the chance, you will not regret filling the shelves of your self catering Vicenza villa with as much as you can lay your hands on! The famous Soco Fair is a food connoisseurs dream, and if you have any interest in traditional Italian cuisine, taking Vicenza accommodation during the festival is a must.

A quaint and utterly relaxing gem!!

5 of 5
Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers) stayed at this fantastic place in June 2016. There are two separate properties; a quaint, charming cottage and a separate and equally charming apartment. Both properties are full of character, really well equipped, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. They both exude rustic charm and have an ambiance in which you automatically unwind and feel relaxed in from the minute you arrive. There are terrific panoramic views to enjoy of the surrounding forested hills and there is a gorgeous swimming pool to cool down in or simply to lounge by. The location is prefect for exploring the local area - it's only 20 minutes drive to Vicenza and there are many beautiful, historic towns within 80 km radius. The hosts, Laura and Davide and their lovely children are so friendly and helpful - they really make this already wonderful place really special to stay at. We would highly recommend this property to both couples and to families as a destination for a relaxing holiday or short break - you won't regret it. Go raibh maith agat (Irish for thank you so much) Laura & Davide for making our stay such a lovely experience and we look forward to returning to stay with you again very soon.

A dream destination to stay in Italy

5 of 5
This beautiful place surpassed all our expectations in every way! From the minute we arrived and met Laura, the owner, we knew we had made a good choice. My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in the one bedroom house while our 3 teenage children stayed in the apartment by the pool. Both properties are gorgeous - quaint, rustic, and charming but also comfortably furnished and well equipped. Nestled in the hills above Vicenza, there is a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding forests and a castle best appreciated from the large window beside the wonderful shower in the little house. You can easily relax here away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life yet it is also a great base to explore the area with lots of historic towns and cities within a 50km radius. The lovely swimming pool helped us cool down in the heat of the glorious Italian sunshine and we very much enjoyed our daily conversations with Davide, Laura's husband, about topics which varied from Italian sports cars to European politics!! However whatat makes this place stand out, apart from its' charm and relaxing ambience is the warm welcome and friendliness of the owners, Laura and Davide and their charming children - they are really lovely and were very helpful and attentive. Thank you so much guys. To conlude this place is an Italian "gem" and we would have no hesitation recommending it as an ideal destination for couples or families to have a relaxing time in beautiful surroundings and yet within easy reach of the main tourist sites. We really do plan to return here soon. A bientot Laura and Davide!!!

Ideal home, location, and ambiance for a family.

5 of 5
From the outset of our trip we had many variables and were therefore not exactly"ideal guests". For example, we were unable to give even an approximately accurate arrival time. Additionally we decided we would like to arrive a few days earlier however the apartment was already booked. When we inquired about the possibility, At the very last minute, The owners made arrangements for us to stay somewhere close by.. Even on our first evening, we arrived four hours later than expected. Nevertheless, they awaited our late arrival and ensured we were comfortably settled in. Initially, we only intended on staying two weeks. However the apartment has the most magnificent setting and peaceful and relaxing ambience that we ended up extending our stay another two weeks. Everything about our experience with the property, the owners, the area, was favorable. The location is ideal for accessing Venice, Verona, Lake Garda, Padova, And many other lovely nearby "must see's". The owners were very knowledgeable about the local area and were always nearby to provide us with"insider tips". This meant for example, our trip to and from Venice went smoothly and We were able to enjoy the experience fully. The owners exhibited exactly the right balance between warmth and friendliness while also providing us with privacy and respect. We have traveled extensively in Europe and have rarely had such a thoroughly satisying, pleasurable, and home-like environment. The house has everything you could want: a kitchen bathroom, bedrooms, fireplace, and charm galore. And no photo can adequately express the glory of the surrounding hills, lake and landscape. You have your very own large terrace with plenty of seating and of you onto the countryside. It is far superior to staying in a hotel as by staying in this home you willhave a wonderful life chance to experience the non-touristic, local, and friendly lifestyle of the Italians. We were a family of two adults and four teenagers. During the entirety of our stay every single one of our family members was delighted by this house and the warmth of the owners. If you would like to experience Italy at it's best we highly recommend you book this property.
