We had a very enjoyable stay in the Palazzo Margherita in the village of Tresnuraghes. The house is a good size and perfect for two families holidaying together. The downstairs courtyard is great for relaxing, reading, eating, drinking etc in the shade and the top terrace for sunbathing and shooting star spotting at night! The house is in a good spot for exploring the local beaches and the villagers were lovely and friendly. The sunset from the balcony of the pizzeria across the road is not to be missed (and neither are the pizzas!). The house has everything required for a self catering stay and communication with the owner before and after our stay has been great.

We spent a lovely week here with our young son. So close to the beach where we spent nearly every day. After a hard day doing nothing we would get a pizza from the pizzeria, just a minutes walk away. Superb! The apartment is in a great location and is spacious, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. We will definately recommend it.

We loved this apartment from the moment we arrived. It feels secure since the building is in an enclosed garden with a tall wall and gate. It is accessed by stone steps to the rear and there is a back and front patio. The latter has an excellent view west over the sea.Everything was clean and of good quality and condition. Antoino and his wife welcomed us and were extremely lovely and helpful despite our lack of Italian and their lack of English- we managed! This is an older property in a seaside town. I didn't agree with a previous review that the facilities in the apartment were a bit old-fashioned. Everything was great as far as we were concerned and we were sorry to leave. Being an older building meant it had a brilliant position, we felt.Porto Alebe is quite small and there are few facilities or shops. We can recommend the pizza place by the church : very simple but ridiculously cheap and possibly the best pizza we had all holiday. There is a restaurant right next door to the property which we ate in also- very popular! The beach is large and good for swimming. If you explore further, there are walks along to the watchtower and there's great fun to be had exploring the rocky shore nearby.
