old winery Trecastagni

4 of 5
We had a wonderful holiday staying iat this property ,The house was very impressive inside with the mechanics of the Old Winery press being the feature of the living room - it was quite museum like in some respects- the house was furnished to a high standard and the kitchen had everything needed in a self catering house- outside was a barbecue and plenty of shaded areas with lots of seats which was much needed as there was a heatwave and most days the temperature was 90 degrees plus. The house is very well Situated in the town - two minutes walk from numerous restaurants and quaint cobbled streets and shops - the town is very old and charming and on one of weekends there was a festival with music and craft stalls in the town square . Mount Etna was there on the horizon and a half hour drive - lots of towns and beaches to visit- Taormina and Siracuse ( boat trip well recommended) are places not to miss . Pinella ( who welcomed us on arrival on behalf of the owners) was so kind and helpful even making our daughter a beautiful cake for her birthday - and responding really quickly by texts whenever we needed advice on where to go what to do . A wonderful holiday! Margaret and Paul Tutty and family London
