  • Beautiful villa with outstanding location.

My family and I have just had the most relaxing holiday at Villa Lorena! Quite often when you book holiday accomodation you book a base, somewhere to sleep whilst you spend each day out exploring. Not Villa Lorena! This place is a home and we absolutely loved spending time here each day. The 3 children were addicted to the good size pool and you couldn't tear is 4 adults away from the mesmerising view of the lake. We were truly spoilt and are already planning our return visit. A couple of things that may be useful additions in future would be: 1. Better pillows, they are very mishapen and not very comfy to sleep on. After the first night, we ended up using the sofa cushions. 2. A bedding pack? We had to pay extra to the airline for a case, just to get all our bedding out. We would happily have paid extra for the linen to be provided at the villa. 3. Some fans. I appreciate air conditioning is an expensive installation but maybe a couple of fans to plug in would be useful. All in All a fabulous holiday, with good clear communication from Christian. But the star of the show must be that view!

We stayed with our children aged 12 and 9 in July/august 2018. The views are fantastic and the short walk into tremosine is handy for a the 4/5 restuarants where the food is good and the little local shops including a couple of little supermarkets are handy for groceries and gifts. The pool is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view and our hosts gave us a bottle of their home grown olive oil to take home with us, a lovely gesture. The apartment is compact but it was great for two weeks. There were some local children and another couple on holidays and the children all played together even though they didn't speak each other's language of German/English/Italian! I takes around 20 minutes to drive down to the lake each day but the journey up and down is both amazing and spectacular every time and we loved it! Limone is the nearest tourist destination and is only 10 minutes once you get down and from there, you can get ferry/boats to Riva, malcesine for around 9 euros return per adult, we recommend both places! Serminone is a long drive/boat trip at the other end of the lake and is definitely worth a long day out, don't miss it! So many wonderful places to visit so plan an itinary! Paradise if you love water sports And outdoor activities such as hiking and biking. We hired a pedallo with a slide on it in Riva for 12 euros per hour, the kids loved it! We left garda and the place we stayed feeling sad but happy, we had an wonderful two weeks and would certainly recommend staying I tremosine and garda!
