We would highly recomend this property. Everything we needed. The villa exceeded our expectations. Very clean and peaceful and relaxing. Nothing was to much trouble. All private villa. You do need a car wich was no problem to us. Biagio and his wife were perfect hosts and made sure our stay was wonderful. Looking forward to returning to this gem again in the near future.

Apartment Sydney was spotless when we arrived, and owner Elisabetta had left us a gift of regional wine and extra virgin olive oil made from the groves within the grounds of the villa - fantastico! We were given a warm Italiano welcome by Silvanna, a lovely local lady who showed us around the apartment and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment is one bedroom and fairly small, however it is easily sufficient for two people. There is plenty of outside space set on three levels, so lots of opportunity for eating al fresco or simply lounging around in the Salento sun. Each apartment is very private, so even when other guests are there, you are rarely aware of their presence. The grounds surrounding the Villa are full of mature plants including lemon and lime trees, plus, of course, a beautiful olive grove. Fantastic to wander around after a hard day's sight seeing or trip to the sea! Local beaches are easily accessible - just a five minute drive, or twenty minute walk away. Torre Pali is the closest, and offers a small selection of cafes, restaurants and shops on the beachfront. Our favourite was Pescoluse near Torre Vado, 10 mins drive from the villa. With its vast, expansive white sandy beaches and crystal clear, shallow waters, it's hard to remember you're actually in Southern Italy and not the Caribbean! There are plenty of beach bars and cafes nearby which all have a relaxed, laid back feel typical of the area. We visited several larger towns in the region including Gallipoli, Lecce and Tricase/Porto Tricase - all well worth a visit. Our absolute favourite had to be Leuca, right on the southernmost tip of Salento. Boat trips around the caves of Leuca are available in abundance, and we took a two-hour excursion around the peninsula where we were able to swim inside some of the caves - an experience not to be missed! Salento is often described as 'the Cornwall of Italy', and this is so true. If you love rugged, unspoilt coastlines, white sandy bays surrounded by crystal clear sea, and friendly, unpretentious locals who can't do enough to make visitors feel welcome, then this is for you! Apartment Sydney occupies a prime location to enjoy the region. We hired a car from Brindisi airport, and found this to be the best way to explore the many local beaches and towns. Owner, Elisabetta, is wonderful and quick to respond to any queries we had prior to, and during, our stay. I would highly recommend a visit, the perfect Italian retreat!
