Lovely quiet property in ideal location

5 of 5
My husband and I spent a week in this spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated property. Although we had a car, we didn't use it: the bus station (and the center of town) is a ten minute walk away (max) along a quiet road and on a pedestrian footpath through the trees. Local bus connections to lovely walking areas can easily be made: the staff in the ticket office are very helpful in guiding and directing tourists to areas of interest and provide simple timetables.( At the station you can also buy maps, postcards, stamps, shop in the Tuesday market, post mail...) The property itself has a balcony which catches the late afternoon sunshine, perfect to relax on after a day's walking. The kitchen is well equipped, the large double bed very comfortable. The neighbours are also helpful: the lady from downstairs informed us about some water restrictions for a few hours: we didn't understand Italian, nor did she speak English but she enlisted someone else to translate for us. She was also very accommodating when our rather wide car wouldn't really fit into the parking space available - she tolerated it outside her front door for a week! The owner, Patrizia, was most accommodating too. we never met but she catered for the dates that suited the international mountain event which we had travelled over to participate in, rather than stick rigidly to calendar weeks. I would definitely stay there again should I return to Cortina.

Great apartment in a great location

5 of 5
Stayed here with a large group of friends, using both the top floor apartment and the basement. Basement was only used for sleeping, but that worked fine, we simply hung out upstairs. Really nice place, views from the balcony are amazing. We spent most evenings there watching the sun go down. Apartment well stocked and had everything we needed. A little cozy at meal times but there were 9 of us, so that's to be expected. We self catered most nights (not many restaurants open in Cortina in May). We did run out of gas one night (spare bottle was already empty!), but thankfully we'd just finished cooking our meal. Camila had this sorted after breakfast the next day though. A bit of an uphill walk out of Cortina, but we knew that, and this did mean it was wonderfully quite. And lots of grass for sunbathing outside. Great value for money and would consider staying here again.
