We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Villa Mabella is amazing, fabulous gardens, patios and other outdoor space.
The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Kitchen fairly small for a villa sleeping 10 but very well equipped. The barbecue area is lovely. Bathrooms plentiful and fine, bit dated. Loved the pool and of course the amazing view. Lots of steps to walk of the pizza and pasta.
Everyone was really helpful and friendly.
As a group of 8, four couples, we were delighted with the villa.
We especially liked the outdoor space. It was well maintained and very attractive.
The three bedrooms at the front of the villa had spectacular views.
The kitchen was small and not good for cooking together. It's a one-cook galley type. There were plenty of pots and dishes but it lacked space , counters. There were traditional Italian coffee pots. These are great for people who like espresso, but but for large groups of Americano coffee drinkers this was a big production.
Everything. It is a wonderful location along the Amalfi Coast. Quiet and removed from the tourist hubbub but within easy access to sites to be seen.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Ravello was the nearest town. And we could easily walk there.
Tips or Restaurants:
Every restaurant we tried in Ravello was excellent. We had great meals at Ristorante Pizzeria Vittoria, which was a short walk from the villa. Also Salvatore's near the bus stop. And Hotel Parsifal with great view.
We ate at Trattoria Cumpà Cosimo twice.
Four couples came from different directions but all arrived at the designated time in Ravello at the square. We met the manager, Daniela (who works with Antonietta), at her third floor office and she then guided us to the villa after deposit and cleaning fee and occupancy tax per person were sorted out. The process was a bit confusing and we would have appreciated advance explanation of what was expected.
Check In Out:
Property has one key for the main door , one key for the property gate and one more key for a gate a quarter mile walk down the lane. Three sets were provided. We were four couples so it was inconvenient to have to share keys.
