  • Charming little house in a Paradise Garden
    5 of 5

We are an early-retired couple with a dog & stayed at La Fraula for the last week of May. We like sitting & looking at the sea. Caterina was so kind and patient with our miscalculated early arrival. (Ideally we would have had a drink & just waited but we carry insulin & a hot car is hard to cope with). We were made to feel really welcome & given a tour of the overwhelmingly beautiful garden in which the house is set. Once settled we found the bijou holiday home just right for two. The bed is comfortable (so many holidays are let down by cheap, horrid beds, it’s disappointing to go home aching & tired but not here). The extra sofa beds could do with a few cushions for the limited times when one wants to sit indoors but that would be easily sorted & had we asked for any, I’m sure that Caterina would have been happy to oblige. The garden, as mentioned already, is a delightful haven where most of the day is passed. We aren’t sunbathers but there is ample opportunity to do so and there is proper shade for eating your BBQ (provided) at the table (also provided). The pool is a quirky shape and very deep but just right for a cooling dip when required. We wanted for nothing else to enjoy our time and would definitely stay there again. In fact, we hope to go back in September if possible.

  • Super Villa and excellent hosts - Will definately return

We had a great stay in Poggiardo, the villa is beautiful and split over 3 floors - ideal for 2 families sharing as there is lots of space and several kitchen areas. The pool is a great depth for swimming and also for children and the sails provide great shade. The owners were really welcoming and gave us great advise on local resturants and cafes, they also recommended a local company for a super boat trip. The Villa is in the centre of this beautiful small town and has all you need, a supermarket is walking distance, a couple of pharmacies, several great places to eat and an amazing coffee shop/ice cream bar. There is the biggest street market I have ever seen in the town on a Wednesday and you can buy everything here. Other days there is a butcher, a fish monger and a cheese and cured meat shop in the town. Within a short drive are some beautiful beaches and sea caves to explore. There is plenty of secure parking, bikes to borrow, table football and a pool table. You could never be bored here. We will definitely re visit. Thank you Andrea and Mary for a super holiday.
