              Perfect holiday

              5 of 5
We had a very enjoyable stay , the property is very clean and has everything you need from kitchen pots&pans , cutlery , utensils , so if fancy cooking there's enough stuff for a 5 course dinner . Beds are new and very comfortable , lovely balcony that is out of sun in the afternoon . Air conditioning in perfect functioning order , but we didn't really use it as all the windows are fitted with nets and left open create a pleasant enough temperature all around . To get there from the airport we used a coach , that stops at the end of the road , also handy for travelling around as we didn't rent a car . Beach is absolutely beautiful and big enough for all requirement , there are sun beds in one bay and lots of room for a spot of your own with nobody else around if 5 min walk is not an issue . The resort and the beach are very clean . There is a small supermarket where you can find almost everything you need , larger ones in La Caletta , which is about 10-15 min walk away . Everyday there is a lady that sells fruits&veg opposite the newsagent and on Sundays there is a market with local produce and many more . There are a few restaurant-pizzerias , all very similar priced , we tried the one on the waterfront , the one opposite Il Torre and a few more in La Caletta as an evening walk that way was very pleasant . And of course , there is a gellateria ! From La Caletta there are boat trips to various spots round the island . San Giovanni is very quiet , ideal for a relaxing holiday , unspoiled by hoards of tourists . Talking about tourists , the few that were there were German or Dutch , so there are not many people speaking English , I can understand and speak very badly a bit of Italian and I didn't find that being a problem . People are very nice and helpful , I am sure there is a way of communicating if speaking Italian is not a forte . Booking the property was very easy , Carla was very helpful , answering asap to all my questions . Thank you very much for everything , we really enjoyed our stay !
