Peaceful and relaxing

5 of 5
We ( a party of 6, 3 couples ) have just spent two weeks at Villa Calitri. The villa is situated in a very quiet secluded area where the only thing to disturbed the peace is the sound of birds and the occasional noise of a tractor. The locals are all very friendly and never pass without a wave. The villa itself is nicely decorated and clean. One or two minor adjustments would be helpful but nothing to detract from a relaxing and enjoyable time spent there. The pool is clean and well maintained. A cover may be useful as the area is quite breezy (helpful when the sun is really hot) and would prevent leaves blowing into the water. However I guess not all guests would oblige by putting the cover over each night. The owner and the manager could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Having been to several villas this is not always the case. Thank you Kate and Emma. I would recommend this villa to friends and relatives, including those with mobility issues (bedroom and bathroom on ground floor) and those with children. In fact the villa is suitable for most anyone. Whilst staying at the villa we managed day trips to Naples (not my favourite place but had to be seen), Pompeii and Herculaneum ( well worth the visit but organise a guide in advance), Sorrento and Capri (definitely my favourite) as well as a lot of local trips in the surrounding area. We ate out most days sometimes locally and sometimes a little further afield. All were lovely. We have sent a detailed pack, of places we visited and where we ate, to both Kate (the owner) and Emma ( the manager). Far too much to detail here, but I am sure the pack will be made available on request. I hope its helpful. A very nice two weeks spent in the quieter part of Italy - we started visiting Italy some years ago, we began in the North and have worked our way down south. We have never been disappointed. I can fully recommend a visit.

We stayed here for 2 weeks good sized house was to cold to use the pool ( April ) on our stay it's very beautiful with great views ideal for bikers (Cyclist would find the lanes a challenge , hardly any cars on these mountain roads ) in this remote area. Big house sleeps loads. Only prob chester draws filled with bedding and towels so has to keep clothes in suit cases and wardrobes where much the same had space to hange a few things .
