  • Beautiful property

I chose this property because I got the impression that it was very close to the beach. The pictures on the website are misleading. On the other hand if you like a holiday in a very quiet and peaceful place, with a breathtaking view of the bay in a stunning property, this is the place for you. The owner takes great care in manicuring the gardens and the house is well equipped. Beautifully furnished and well looked after. My family and I absolutely loved the property. The only regret is that you will need to drive from 30 minutes to the nearest beach, and if you want to visit places like San Vito lo Capo or Trapani, you will be setting yourself for over an hour car journey. I feel that there are no sufficient or adequate pictures of the property on the website to show the true beauty of the property, but instead too many of places which are very far from the property. The owners of the property were very welcoming and we had a pleasant stay. I feel that as the property is so far from the beach it could do with a swimming pool so you don’t have to drive miles every day, and therefore truly enjoy the stunning property.

  • Good sized villa with amazing views

This was our first visit to Sicily. The villa was easy to access from both airports (our party used both) although Palermo was the nearest. We had a very relaxing holiday and found the Villa a lovely place to come back to from days out. Arabella was extremely easy to communicate with via Whatsapp and was present to greet us when we arrived. We had the larger of the two apartment from what we could tell and there was plenty of room for five of us. The two main bedrooms had air conditioning and comfortable beds. There was a comfortable bed settee in the main living area, but no air conditioning (fan available) made this quite warm to sleep in. The two futons (one in the third bedroom/office and the other also in the main living room) were very uncomfortable and those of us that attempted to sleep on them ended up with sore backs, so would recommend this apartment for six people at the most. The views from the main rooms were panoramic and we enjoyed sunsets most evenings whilst eating on the terrace. The pool was fine and clean. Arabella and her family put a lot of work into keeping the place clean and tidy and was quick to help out with minor issues. My only suggestion would be that they did something with the garden, as the villa sits in a large plot of scrubland, which isn't that pleasant to look at and would be better planted up with olive trees or cactus, to add a bit of interest. There is a resident cat, which is kept well fed and watered, but can be a bit of a nuisance if food is left on the side. We were also visited by a stray dog who came and went regularly, but was never a bother. We gave it leftovers outside the gate, as we could see it had had puppies. My last concern, although it didn't stop us having a wonderful holiday, was the distance the villa was from the beach and other places of interest (23 minutes to the nearest beach, sandy and easy to access and park nearby at Trapetto). We had many wonderful days out, but you need to be prepared to drive, including the 5 minute drive to the bottom of the mountain with many hairpins to negotiate. However, a highlight for me was watching a shepherd with a herd of goats and sheep come down the mountain opposite the villa every day and hearing their bells....wouldn't have seen that if I had been at the bottom of the mountain!! Collecting water from a spring near the top of the mountain was also an experience. Thank you for a lovely stay.
