Lovely place for a Spring break

5 of 5
This is our third stay at Capalia and our first time in the Cilento in Spring. On both counts we were delighted. Spring is beautiful in the area and can be quite dramatic (on day 1 we experienced an almighty storm). Most of the time the landscape was washed in sunshine. Capalia has a lovely fireplace and we had plenty of wood left for us to burn. We had some very nice evenings sipping wine by the fire!!! Great place to unwind.

An idyllic place.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you Paola and Stefania for being so helpful! The house is in a lovely place, although a bit remote and difficult to reach without a car. (Perhaps that's why it is so lovely). We loved to have our breakfast on the balcony, with sun shining and birds singing. One tip: there is only one small grocery shop nearby, so if you want fresh bread for breakfast, drive to the top of the hill and leave your car by the gate, then walk to the shop, as there is no parking space in front of it. It would have been nice to have a toaster for all this bread that we bought in Carrefour and had to eat a bit stale, as nobody fancied getting up in the morning and getting a fresh loaf. All in all - it was a super holiday, maybe apart from driving to Amalfi for 3 hours on November 1st and not finding a parking space!
