Make a holiday rental home or villa in Roccatederighi, Italy your home away from home

The medieval village of Roccatederighi sits high on a spur overlooking the spectacular and unspoilt plains of Maremma, in the Grosseto province of Tuscany, Italy. People come here for a relaxing break and to immerse themselves in traditional Tuscan life, and they rarely leave disappointed, with friendly locals helping foreign visitors to blend themselves in seamlessly and make the most of their annual family holiday or ‘once in a lifetime’ trip.

Things to do in Roccatederighi, Italy

Under its current name Roccatederighi dates back to around 1200, and there are several sites of historical interest to be witnessed around the village. Little of the original medieval town walls remain today, but the ancient tower has been sympathetically restored, is the highest landmark in the village and can be seen from far around.

The views around the village are nothing short of spectacular, and if you are lucky you may even be able to take in an unspoilt panorama from the balcony or terrace of your Roccatederighi holiday rental villa. A good way of getting around is to hire a bike – there is a rental shop in the village centre, and for a small fee you will be able to cover far more of this unspoilt paradise than you would ever be able to on foot.

The local landscape is dotted with olive groves, vine trees, rocky terrain and dense woodland – perfect for hiking, walking and flooding your lungs with some of the freshest and cleanest air imaginable. Despite its small size, Roccatederighi has all of the amenities you require to enjoy a self-catering holiday, with shops, small supermarkets, cafe-bars and restaurants all to be found around the village.

The apartment has everything you need, it's very cosy and clean. It's location is also brilliant!

We have stayed at the apartment for 4 nights. It is very well equipped, clean and big enough for two people. The views from the window are mesmerising. Fabio is a great host and organizer - I've asked for white linen due to my husband's allergy and it was provided along with a bottle of very good local wine. I would definitely recommend Buriano and Fabio's apartment if you are after peaceful little break.

We loved Casa dell' artista and would happily recommend it to other visitors. The property is romantic and has fantastic views. The village is friendly and the restaurants provide good Tuscan food. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would love to go back in due course.
