Excellent flat in a good loction

5 of 5
We stayed in Nadia's flat for a few days in late August 2016. We did not have the opportunity to meet Nadia in person but she was very proactively in contact with us via email and whattsapp, and her business partner Luisa patiently waited for us when we arrived (even though we got to the flat about an hour later than expected due to problems with our GPS). The flat is really well equipped with washing machine, dish washer, internet, etc. Nadia kindly left croissants, water, juice and coffee for our daily breakfast for the whole stay. Our daughters loved the bunk bed in the children's bedroom and the views from the window over Ragusa Ibla are amazing! In terms of location, the flat is in the new part of Ragusa a few minutes away from the stairs that take you down to Ibla (walking with children it took us about 30 minutes to get to the centre of Ibla). Coming back to the flat (uphill) with kids was a bit more difficult, so we took the bus from the Ibla gardens (you have to be very careful with the timetable as there are only two buses per hour). A bit of advice for tourists who want to have a meal near the flat (this is completely separate from Nadia's flat, which is lovely), AVOID going to the pizza restaurant Vecchia Ragusa near the flat - it's a tourist trap, the pizzas are awful and the price (for tourists) extremely high! The owner of this restaurant tried to charge us much more than what was quoted on the menu just because we could not speak Italian - an Italian customer had to help us! Anyway, we do not hesitate to recommend staying at Luisa's house. The flat is great, 30 minutes walking (with kids) to the centre of ibla, and Nadia is very professional. Family with 2 girls age 5 and 3.
