                                  A taste of Italian luxury

                                  5 of 5
This is the second villa we stayed in whilst in Italy and definitely the most luxurious. Our wonderful hosts made everything that little bit more special. We arrived after a long drive to be welcomed with smiles, cakes and a few essentials in the fridge which I can tell you, having travelled with a 6 month old baby was extremely welcoming. We asked for a travel cot for the little one and were astounded with a beautiful proper wooden framed one with an insect net. The whole villa was clean and modern with pretty much everything we needed although my husband missed the coffee machine from the last property!! The view is spectacular and can be viewed from anywhere in the villas grounds due to the setting. The pool was well kept and cleaned whilst we were there with minimal disruption from the hosts but guess what? They brought more cakes when they came :-) There is a large villa next door and the guests have to walk past the front door to get to their pool but it is set down from the hill so you can barely hear anyone. We had a large family staying there at the time but they kept themselves to themselves. This property has a spiral staircase which was polished within an inch of its life so would caution anyone with a young child or older person who may be unsteady however it is a thing of beauty in the front room. Finally, the pizza oven is majestic and so is the outdoor bbq. We used both whilst we were there and were provided with the correct fuel so had no worries about that either. All in all, this place was truly beautiful and made that little bit more special with love from Elisa and her partner. Thanks guys. Would definitely recommend to friends and stay here again x

We rented Villa le Rose and I want to give my compliments for this very charming little villa. The setting, the property, the interieur was very delightful! We enjoyed so much. Although the villa was small it did not matter at all. Inside and outside were many nice little spots to sit. The swimming pool had the cleanest water I ever saw. Consuelo and her family were great hosts. Very polite, relaxed and great hospitality. Many times we found nice tasting wine, fruit and vegetables in cute baskets on the kitchentable. At any question we had they respond positively. We had a great time! By the way it was also very nice to discover Pistoia, and the weather in the mountains was perfect. We sincerely hope to come back to this nice and lovely settlement in the mountains of pistoia.

                                  Perfect Tuscan retreat!

                                  5 of 5
We just back from our Italian holiday. We flew to Venice and stayed there for a few days, then hired a car and drove (approx. 3 hours) to Olive Tree Suites in Tuscany where we stayed for a further 7 days in the Honey Suite. It was perfect for 2 with breathtaking views of the valley from our bedroom, the lounge and the terrace. We were the only ones staying due to it being low season so we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves. Again, the views from the hot tub which was surrounded by olive trees were out of this world! Our hosts, Alberto and Natalia were great, their English was incredibly good, far better than our Italian (not difficult) and they were very much on hand in case we needed absolutely anything but at the same time left us to enjoy our holiday. Even when we locked ourselves out at midnight Natalia was incredibly understanding. They left us 2 bottles of their own wine when we arrived which was excellent as well as their own organic olive oil and a huge bowl of fruit. They recommended a great local restaurant which we walked to and my husband is still raving that it was the best T-bone steak he's ever had! They also suggested some fab places for us to visit like Vinci where Leonardo da Vinci was born and grew up and Lucca which had a wonderful botanical garden with terrapins and huge Carp in the pond. Florence was only an hour away but we decided to visit more local towns and villages as we had visited Florence in 2013. A hire car with a bit a umpf is a must for Olive Tree Suites with it being up on the mountain but without the mountain you wouldn't get the incredible views! We'll definitely be recommending our friends and family to stay with Alberto and Natalia again!
