Lovely stay

5 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Rosa. The cottage is in a quiet, traditional village, has been nicely restored and is comfortable and well equipped. We appreciated the log fire for the cooler evenings and there’s also central heating and heated towel rails. The owner Vanessa was very responsive and helpful with any queries, such as the intricacies of the Italian recycling system (easy once you get the hang of it). We did a couple of trips on the train to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius but also really enjoyed exploring local places on our bikes. The Cilento is a beautiful, unspoilt area with lots of hilltop villages and quiet roads, and there’s easy access to the coast. In the evening you can sit on the balcony listening to owls and watching the lights coming on across the bay. Highly recommended for a peaceful holiday in an authentically Italian location.
