This was our second stay in this simply stunning Tuscan villa. Set in the beautiful Tuscan countryside this villa offers a wonderfully peaceful location for any holiday. The villa itself is perfectly sized for the 7 of us that stayed. There is a large garden which accomodates a stunning swimming pool and all this is nestled in the beautiful countryside. Set back from a very quite minor road the villa offers guests absolute peace and quiet. There are two charming beaches less than 5 miles away and a large, fully stocked supermarket only 10 mins drive away. Would highly recommend staying here.
13 nights in what appears to be a piece of Italy kept hidden from the rest of the world. The region around Capalbio is beautiful but only seemed to have Italian visitors (which is fine for us). Miles of sandy beaches and gorgeous countryside with olive orchards and vineyards. The idyllic villa is in an excellent location. A car IS needed but you are 10 mins from supermarkets, restaurants, small shops and sandy beaches. 1.5hrs to Rome and 2-2.5hrs to Florence and Pisa. The accommodation has 3 bedrooms, has a very "local" quaint feel with all usual appliances - dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer, cooker, A/C units (1 in lounge and 1 in master bedroom). But the best part is outside. The grounds are gorgeous, from a covered patio for eating (tables/chairs) and grassy grounds with fruit trees (nice apples!) and a superb pool. The pool was clean and very well maintained, along with the garden area - and we found a few inflatables to enjoy in the shed. As photo suggests there is a shaded area beside the pool. Parking for at least 3 cars through a remote controlled gate. The property is surrounded by olive, grape and tomato plantations. The owner's house is next door. They turned up halfway through our stay, were very pleasant (lady speaks good English) but VERY discrete. The place was pretty much ours! The road to the villa is a dirt track so not somewhere you would want to travel to in an Italian supercar. But the location was blissfully quiet, with only the crickets making a noise.
We WOULD recommend this villa and location and would happily stay there again. Only tip - bring some toilet paper and washing up cloths. There were various things already present, such as dishwasher tablets, condiments, etc. There is a drying rack, brush & pan for sweeping. There were also various insect repellents - the place is well known for mosquitoes - but most insects kept themselves to themselves.
Overall a great villa in a beautiful location.
