Make a holiday rental home or villa in Paciano, Italy your home away from home

Rising above the plains of the Trasimeno region from its position on the Monte Petrarvella, the beautiful old town of Paciano is a charming place to escape to in the Umbrian countryside. Undeniably medieval in appearance, Paciano is an ancient city of art, which will appeal to people of all ages.

Things to do in Paciano, Italy

There is a huge amount to see from a holiday rental villa in Paciano, from the impressive art collection of St Joseph’s, which exhibits important pieces, documenting the artistic history of Paciano in a wonderful display. The Torre d’Orlando, Church of San Giuseppe and the Rastrella are all hugely impressive attractions, but there are wonderful sights to see around almost every corner.

Paciano is situated in a wonderfully natural corner of Umbria, surrounded by three atmospheric lakes where nature thrives. The lakes are a delight in which to swim, windsurf or fish, and there are great range of nature trails to enjoy from a Paciano villa, with a maze of footpaths, cycle routes and bridle paths to take into the countryside. After a long day out in the country, the San Casciano dei Bagni is of massive appeal, offering thermal baths, massages and curative treatments.

Paciano’s proximity to Lake Trasimero is a huge benefit, as the lake allows you to swim, sail, fish and windsurf, as well as providing and excellent starting point for many nature walks, ride and bike rides through the Umbrian countryside.

Places to visit on holiday in Paciano, Italy

A delightful cosy cottage set in beautiful, peaceful countryside

5 of 5
We had a fabulous holiday in this gorgeous cottage, which is set in idyllic countryside at the top of a very windy hill. The views are stunning and we enjoyed the peace and quiet, the only noise coming from the very vocal crickets. The outside covered seating area was especially wonderful with a lovely view over the peaceful garden. The cottage had everything we needed and we loved our stay. Our 5-year-old daughter particularly enjoyed the bunk bed in her bedroom. We met a few of the residents from the other privately owned apartments and they were very friendly. The pool was delightful and we loved the fact it was a short distance away from the apartments, we had it to ourselves on some occasions. Umbria is a very beautiful part of Italy with many places to visit which weren’t too far away. We would have liked a little more information about the Castello and the local area. The only negatives if you can call them that, was the microwave did not work, which wasn’t a big problem, we reported this to Francesco early on in our stay but it wasn’t fixed before we left. We also managed to trip the electric which we were aware could happen from the reviews on this site, but had it not been for the neighbours who were only too happy to help, we wouldn’t have known how to get the power back on without contacting Francesco – perhaps some instructions in the cottage would be helpful. This a beautiful place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful, peaceful and perfect

5 of 5
The villa was superb and Jacopo could not have been more helpful. We were one short on a lounger cushion and emailed him in the morning and by the afternoon a new cushion was delivered to us. The pool area is really private surrounded by lovely gardens and tall hedges, unfortunately this meant you lost the sun by about 6.30 which was a shame as it was so lovely we wanted to stay out longer. The leisurely walk to the town took us about 20 - 25 minutes, but it was well worth it as we found some lovely places to eat. We had a really enjoyable holiday
