Our best ever villa stay

5 of 5
Il Trappeto is a fantastic villa in the heart of Puglia. The villa is very neat and clean, spacious (indoor table-tennis table) and well set-up for large groups with 2 fridges. With a few cool days we had the pool heated and this helped keep the kids wet and happy. We had a car to get in and out of Ostuni, but the villa's location is very convenient to the heart of the old Centro Storico and nearby parking. Ottavio was very helpful when we had a question, and we would also recommend the Puglian feast which he could organise. The villa stayed nice and cool on hot summer days, and to be surrounded by ancient olive trees added to the exotic feel. Shaded outdoor dining options meant we were rarely inside. We have stayed in many villas across Italy, France and Spain and rate Il Trappeto as the best. We will definitely be returning to Il Trappeto soon.

Wonderful stay in total relaxation

5 of 5
This villa is the perfect place to stay to chill out. The view is amazing, the quiet is lovely as all you hear are the crickets..no people, no traffic, no noise. Even the 7am church bells add to the charm. The amenities in the villa are great..the only item to improve on would be the towels. For 30 Eur a week 2 bath towels each would be better. However that is only a minor item and detracts in no way from our stay. Eating outside is such a pleasure for house bound Brits, and to do so in such a setting is perfect. Going into Ostuni to wander round the twisting streets, discovering another quaint little shop or restaurant is a never ending journey of discovery. The beaches are amazing...with the ones the locals use being far and away the best. Overall an amazing week and we will miss this lovely gem, now moving on to Alborobello. Would we stay here again, definitely and are looking for a week in the very near future. Finally a quick note of thanks to Simona, the lady who meets and greets. We got our hire car late at night due to a large queue at the airport ..tip is one of you go get the ticket from the counter while the other grabs the bags. As we were so late we got lost on the way, she drove out to meet us at 9.30 pm and found us outside Villanova somewhere. So very grateful to her...
