  • Rural lovely holiday let

This property worked out great for us (4 adults and 3 kids). It was spacious and could accommodate the number of guests easily (no shortage of space around the dinning table or in the living room). Its an easy drive from Nice airport, but your own transport is a must. The location was lovely, however, the only downside was the road, almost all the way from the coast (less than an hour) is tiring due to the heavy traffic on narrow (a lot of single track) roads, which I found to be discouraging to want to go anywhere far.

We had a fantastic holiday in Rezzo. Casa Nero is a really nice house, well equipped and nicely fitted out. It is high up in the town with great views but still accessible. It is a great place to wake up on a fresh, Italian mountain morning! Rezzo is a charming village with extremely friendly local people to practice your Italian on - there are a couple of small shops and bars which carry JUST enough stuff if you really don't want to travel anywhere and just 'hole up' for a few weeks, but I'd recommend a trip to one of the supermarkets near Imperia which are about 25 mins away by car. If you do have a car there are some great coastal towns to visit, all within an hours drive along some charming but sometimes slightly challenging roads! You can also get the train from Imperia and visit Genoa or go up to Monaco for the day. If you are considering this house you are most likely interested in a relaxing, peaceful break in a beautiful part of the world, so as the title - just book it. You won't regret it! The owners Liz and Shane couldn't be more helpful if you need them, but never hassle you about anything. They made us feel really welcome and introduced us to friends they have made who've also made Rezzo their home.
