Excellent location for touring around Tuscany, with Montecatini Alto, which is a medieval gem, only minutes away by a lovely Funicular Railway. Our host was very helpful, as it was raining heavily when we arrived by train from Florence, and he very kindly drove us to the Supermarket and waited while we did our shopping and delivered us back to the apartment. Montecatini Terme is a lovely area, with a beautiful large parkland very near the premises filled with a huge variety of every imaginable type of tree and perfect for a relaxing stroll. We enjoyed our time there very much.

We have used homes and villas through homeaway all across the world but this villa is outstanding! The view is breathtaking from the patio, the reception rooms and most of the bedrooms. The owners met us and were exceptionally welcoming, it was spotlessly clean and they provided so many extras it really is home from home, right down to dressing gowns. They had even tuned the grand piano the day before we arrived so my son was playing every evening!! The drive to the villa is not for the faint hearted but it is worth the extra 10 minutes for the views. It is perfect for Florence, Pisa, Siena and Pistoia along with the more local towns such as Montecatini Alto for superb restaurants. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone, the purpose was to see this part of Italy but we would return just for the villa and the view!!!!!!!! Karen, Dorset, UK.

Loved the garden at this house, the owners have thought of everything! Fridge and a cooker near the lovely clean pool and a shaded seating area. Gorgeous view from the garden which is well kept. The house itself is spacious and looked after. Has a lovely warm old charm about it that I love. Dishwasher and cooker in kitchen as well as a large fridge freezer. 3 spacious bedrooms available. We loved the area, but the mossies were extremely hungry abc I got eaten alive so don't forget your candles and spray. Barbara and her husband were very accommodating even when our fought was delayed by 3 hours. Nothing too much trouble. Great house, great area, lots to do for families if you like exploring. Only an Hour from Pisa, so we visited the leaning tower. Beach at Livorno is nice but an hour away also. Loved montecantini alto, we rode the funicular train from the bottom up. The village is stunning with lovely little shops. Restaurants are lovely too but expensive. In montecantini itself there is a place called termeland which is a park for kids and has a few bouncy slides, a twirly slide, soft play and a water orb. Best suited to younger kids up to 5 though a few things will keep the older ones quiet such as the motorbikes. The cafe across the road sells stunning food and puddings at very reasonable prices. Great service too. We recommend this house abc the owners 100% Thank you both ciao x
