Peaceful with beautiful views.

4 of 5
There were beautiful views from the property and we liked the layout of the village. The pool was clean and well maintained and the house was nicely, if simply, furnished. However, the kitchen was poorly equipped and didn't have many of the basics, for example a set of saucepans, washing up liquid, cleaning spray or sharp knives. It is 30 mins away from the nearest supermarket and 4km along an unmade road from a restaurant so I'd have thought it was highly likely people would want to cook for themselves and expect a better range of equipment. A shame as everything else was great.

A beautiful secluded spot with breaktaking views over the Tuscan countryside.

Had a wonderful stay here at I Poggi for a week. The property is extremely secluded down quite a long track is and is perfect for those wanting complete peace and quiet. The views really are incredible and the pool is absolutely stunning. The pool is a short walk down a path from the house and is situated with fantastic views all around and is positioned perfectly for all-day sun and a lovely place to be for sunset drinks round the pool. It was kept very clean during our stay. Nice areas at the front and back of the house to sit outside. We had wonderful weather and so ate all our meals outside. There is a barbecue too which we used. Nedda and Matteo met us on our first evening when we arrived to show us to the property as it is quite hard to find! They were very welcoming and helped us the next day when we had a problem with the electricity - got it sorted out for us quickly. Not a place if you want lively nightlife or quick access into a town but for us it was a perfect get-away to relax and recharge the batteries. We just couldn't stop oohing and aahing at the views all around - very beautiful. It is also near enough to lots of places to head out for day trips - we visited Florence, Pisa, Siena and San Gimignano during our stay. A week just wasn't long enough and no one wanted to leave!
