  • Best villa ever

This proved to be the best villa we have stayed in as a family group. House is very well presented and equipped, with very generous welcome pack of basic provisions, enormous fruit bowl and the olive oil was even from the villa's estate. The pool is really large and positioned with a fantastic panoramic view. Long enough to do lengths. The walk up to Montaione is steep but short, and better to walk downwards on the way home!. Great selection of local restaurants and bars which are all really reasonable. Monique and her family were very welcoming and lovely. Overall a brilliant villa in a great location - would recommend highly.

Overall: Absolutely beautiful with a nice Tuscan feel. The pool and outdoor loggia were very lovely. We spent a lot of time outside with wine and watching a beautiful sunset. We had a great time. Enjoyed Most: The villa was lovely but the pool and the loggia were extraordinary. Enjoyed Least: The kitchen was a bit on the smaller side, but not a handicap by any means. Surrounding Area: Yes the surroundings were very nice. Montaigne was very charming. We found many nice restaurants. Case Masi was our favorite. Location was very good for day trips to Florence, Siena and Pisa. San Gimignano was also only a short distance. Plenty to see and do. Nearby Events or Locales: Nothing was walking distance, but both Montaione and Castelfiorentino were very nice Tips or Restaurants: Bring mosquito repellent. Casa Masi is a must go to restaurant. We also liked Campo in Montaione - very cute town. Directions: Need one more sign for the villa. The left turn going down to the villa is easy to miss. Check In Out: Check in and check out was easy. Reception folks were very helpful. Overall great experience.
