Truly, an exceptional place to stay! Quite simply, everything was perfect.

5 of 5
Where to begin? With Ornella and Piero's kindness and thoughtfulness! Wonderful hosts, thinking of everything, though without intruding on our wish to relax and to have a simple, quiet time. The apartment is stunningly situated, both apparently on top of the world, with all Umbria beneath it but also is a part of the little collection of fine medieval buildings of San Giovenale, as well as a stone's throw from everything we could wish for in the way of cafes, restaurants, specialist food shops, churches, palaces, museums, historic wells, caves and numerous other sights and views. We spent a week wandering this way and that and were always finding something new to interest us. The apartment itself is charming. It is a cool refuge from the heat of the sun, fully and thoughtfully equipped and we could have happily prepared our meals there but in fact chose only to drink wine and eat peaches from the market at home, preferring to be thoroughly lazy and to try out many of the very many fantastic eating places around the town. We had such a relaxing holiday. Thank you so much to our hosts!

Beautiful house in the countryside

5 of 5
We had a lovely time staying at piccolo cielo. The surrounding are beautiful and at night very magical with fireflies, wild boar, deer, owls and lovely views. The house is simple and very lovely, with a good kitchen so we had many lovely meals eating outside, there was also a good barbecue we could use. The bedrooms were sometimes a bit warm at night in the hot weather, but not too stifling. Susanna was very friendly and helpful. The area around is lovely, with great swimming at Lago di Bolsena and many beautiful small towns and villages. Overall we had a great two weeks and were sorry to leave.
