A fantastic Holiday

5 of 5
Visiting Italy has always been high on my bucket list and so where we stayed needed to be just right. The Farmhouse and the owners didn't disappoint. Even before we arrive Suzy was fabulous with advice and communication. Her customer service was second to none. (at one point even a phone call from her!). The Farmhouse was very clean and tidy and the listing was extremely accurate and we had an amazing week. We did pack a lot in and went to Florence, Pisa and Rome but to come back to the home comforts made it easier. We did the wine tour Suzy recommended and we all enjoyed it (even the 12year old). All 5 kids (from 25 to 12) had a fabulous time and are still talking about it. Thank you Suzy. We will definitely be going back.

Wonderful escape in the Tuscan hills

5 of 5
From the moment we saw the photographs and then details of our stay from the hosts, we hoped Chiusarella would be special and we weren't let down. We were greeted at the property and shown around the house and grounds and really, nothing had been to left to chance. From the large pristine kitchen to the well presented bedrooms and bathrooms, the house is a 5 star treat. The walk up to the pool, although steep, took us to the most amazing views of all. Trust us, looking at the view from the poolside with a cool drink never gets old. A welcome basket and wine was a lovely touch to see us through our first weekend, the supermarkets are relatively close and well stocked, and the tiny village of San Gusmé is just a short walk through the woods. (don't wear open shoes though...it's very rocky!) The onsite phone was a great touch meaning help was never far away. The wood burning barbecues take a bit of getting used to but cook up a storm once mastered. The wifi meant we could always get online and board games meant we never got bored. We enjoyed the wine and bar too.... We'll be back - amazing property and an amazing estate!
