A lovely stay in a house full of character

5 of 5
We traveled as a family with 2 young kids and had a great time at Stefy's house that is located within 10-15 minutes' walk from the historic centre of Bellagio. The house is fantastic, it has been restored to a high standard and is a pleasure to live in. Stefy is a lovely host and provided us with lots of tips around where to go/what to do in the area. Be sure to take a ferry ride to Mennagio and Varenna, it's such a treat. Latteria di Bellagio that sells fantastic local cheeses, salamis and fresh milk is just 3 minutes walk from the house and is a must visit. The only minor downside for families with young kids is two quite steep staircases in the house so you have to be extra vigilant with the little ones.

Delightful apartment with beautiful view of the lake.

5 of 5
We had such a warm welcome when we arrived and were very well looked after. The bed was really comfortable and the view of the lake from the bedroom and dining room made us instantly relax. We did much of our own cooking and found the kitchen was well equipped. We loved sitting at the dining table with the windows open looking across the village to the lake. Locals were friendly and helpful. Having a hire car meant we could easily get to the many attractive towns around both Lake Lugano and Lake Como. A really fabulous holiday.
