At just 60km from Milan and 20km from Como, Lenno is easy to reach and a great base for exploring the delights of Lake Como. The village itself is only small – but if you are looking for a holiday of relaxation and rejuvenation, the peace and quiet of Lenno will be the main draws for you. Lenno is one of the quietest resorts in the central lake area and off the beaten tourist track, but close enough to get back on it whenever you wish.

The first thing you notice with Lenno is how serene everything seems to be. The village is located in one of the most peaceful parts of the lake, known as the Tremezzina, which is famous for its especially calm waters, great weather, lush vegetation and spectacular scenery – the ideal recipe for a spot of relaxation.

As with many of the towns and villages dotted around the outskirts of Lake Como, Lenno is the home of some grand old villas that the majority of us can only dream of owning. The finest example in Lenno is Villa Balbianello, which is famous for its lovingly-tendered gardens and for being in several big-budget Hollywood movies. A walk around the gardens is a must, and for a small fee you can also examine the lavish interior of the villa.

Most of the cafes, restaurants and bars in Lenno are located on the promenade, taking full advantage of the spectacular views out over the lake. There are several experiences from a vacation in Lenno that will stay with you forever, and drinking a glass of the local wine on a warm summer evening, whilst admiring the views of the lake, is likely to be one of them. More amenities including a tourist information office can be found in the main square, Piazza XI Febbraio.

Beautiful apartment in a stunning location.

5 of 5
Wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Apartment Fabiana in Ossuccio its a wonderful place with fantastic views and so convenient for seeing all of Lake Como's delights. We drove around the lake took the ferries and car ferries across the lake, took the Venicular in Como to Brunate and the cable car to Pigra. Crossed the mountains to Lake Lugano. Had wonderful food at some great restaurants and loved Villa del Biabianello and its gardens located on the peninsula at Lenno. Recommend you take the water taxi back to Lenno to enjoy the views of the Villa from the lake. Two supermarkets within a five minute drive from the property. the walk up to the Sacro Monte di Ossuccio was worth the effort to view the fourteen chapels that line the path to the Church.. All in all a fantastic holiday at an apartment that had a stunning view across the lake and mountains the colours of which changed throughout the day. Highly recommend the apartment which was immaculate, the pool area which had sun loungers and chairs for guest. Most of all how friendly the other residents, guests of the apartment and the residents of Ossuccio were.

Lovely apartment in a gorgeous location

5 of 5
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment in early September 2017. It is very spacious, clean, has every item and amenity you would need, and the view is even more beautiful in person. We were there with our 3 young kids, so I can attest this is very kid friendly, but would work equally well for an adult only group. Ossuccio is lovely and within driving and/or ferry distance of all the main sites (Como, Bellagio, Menaggio, Varenna, etc). We received excellent service from beginning to end, and especially appreciated the in person check-in/out from Maria Rosa and her husband. Highly recommend!
