A fantastic place and great host.

5 of 5
The apartment is well equipped, clean and comfortable. The garden is fantastic - a lovely place to eat out or just sit and relax. The web site photos are accurate. Carlo is very friendly and helpful. It is in a nice neighborhood and only 20 mins walk to the very centre. Palermo is a very nice city. Great historical sites but interesting and safe to just walk about and enjoy the markets, piazzas and street life.

The perfect honeymoon in Sicily

5 of 5
We have just arrived home from what we can only describe as a perfect honeymoon in Sicily. The poolhouse cottage provided the perfect location and base for our 12 night stay. We arrived to an extremely friendly welcome from the owner Annick who was preparaing the cottage for our stay. Annick armed us with useful information on where to visit and eat, buses and transport across the area. Annick is very friendly and made herself on-hand to answer questions we may have over text message if required. The cottage itself is perfect for a couple giving plenty of space. The kitchen is well equipped and there's even a BBQ to cook outdoors. The bathroom is modern and the bedroom spacious. The aircon is ideal in the hot temperatures. During our stay there were people staying in the main house for the first 5 days so were sharing the pool. We hardly saw them during this time so it made no difference to us and we still had privacy. For the last week of our holiday we had the grounds to ourselves which was even better, so we enjoyed numerous lazy days by the pool. This was so relaxing and enjoyable. We made friends with a little cat that was forever exploring the beautiful gardens and fruit trees. The location is fantastic with both the beach and city well connected by public transport. We used the buses regularly to go to Mondello, SanLorenzo and city centre. You just need to remember to purchase tickets for the newsstand as they're not sold on the bus themselves. With the cottage are two bikes which we used one day however the roads are so crazy so we didn't dare go out on them again. Be careful if you do. There's lots to do in the city, we enjoyed a boat trip, historic and street food tour. We visited the cathedral and palace as well. There are lots of places in Mondello to eat, but we enjoyed SanLorenzo Mercado, a place called Guesto near the mercado and cappuccino and breakfast pastries at Gardenia just down the road from the accommodation. The gelato (ice creams) were amazing and there were bars offering them on every corner. When you visit you must try one in a brioche bun!! Incredible. Where the cottage was located seemed very much non-touristy and more residential which made it even better as everyone was a 'local' apart from us. This was just what we were after. We could not have wished for a better honeymoon. Thank you Annick for all your help during our stay.
