We stayed at this place for a week, and it was one of the nicest places we could have stayed in! Not only was the place beautifully built, well planned and thought out and spotlessly clean, but the hosts we amazing! Alessandro was helpful with anything we needed, and Clara, his mother spoilt us rotten with home made Tiramisu and fresh produce from her allotment! One wonderful surprise we got were the magical Fireflies that can be seen at dusk, darting across the fields and boundaries of the property like fairies! We had never seen them before. We also got the most spectacular dusk skies each night. The Pizza oven was fantastic and we made good use of it! We want one at home now too! The beds were most comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped. The terrace area was great to relax on as was the cabana next to the pool. Alessandro kept the pool spotlessly clean, and it was a good, large sized pool and the family made great us of it. The house is so well built and you could tell they had thought of every detail! We did all sorts of day trips from there including Pisa and Cinque Terre, along with seeing the Carrara marble mines on the Apuan alps nearby. One place tucked away we really liked was a village called Vagli Sotto, that projects out into a lake, which is famous for the Village that is hidden under the waters of the lake, disappearing when it was dammed in 1945. It is a magical place, full of things to do, and we couldn't have hoped for a nicer holiday let!

                                      A true Tuscan retreat

                                      5 of 5
Imagine the views of the Lake district, the weather of California, the food Venice at the prices of Mexico and you get the general idea. I could not have wanted anything better as a get away yet maintaining a little civilization close by. The property was comfortable and spacious and I would not hesitate to go back given the opportunity.

We stayed in this house for a full week. It's a lovely house. Everything you could possibly need is there. It is just a lovely area. Nobody bothers you. It's fantastic. We complete unwound there. We felt so relaxed after the week. The local shops are perfect have everything you could possibly need. On our first day it rained but that didn't matter as we sat out under the huge canopy which is huge. We would definitely recommend this place to unwind and chill.
