  • We have been looking at this villa for a few years, itwas everything we had wished it was..

Spoleto is easily accessible from the villa if you enjoy the walk (shame the viaduct isn’t open - although you would have to have a head for heights).House is fully equipped with everything you need and is certainly a home from home. Lots of choice of good restaurants in town and lots of places to visit close by like Foligno, Spello, Gubbio, Montone and many more. Only slight downside is the drive but after you get it once it’s fine after that. We should have got the car we booked a Fiat 4x4, that would have done it easily. We have enjoyed another lovely Italian holiday.

This apartment is a wonderful retreat from a beautiful town. While parking for an hour close to the apartment is available to drop off bags, overnight parking is in the general visitor car park at the foot of the town. There is no issue of availability there but someone has to be prepared to walk up and down the hill. If you are reasonably fit then I believe it is worth the effort to stay in this lovely spot and sit on the terrace under the shade of the vines and take in the view, away from any noise of the town. Spello is full of excellent restaurants, so no need to cook. I am sure I will be going back.
